Lincolnwood Is Our Home.

We grew up here and are raising our families here as active and engaged members of the community. We know that in Lincolnwood, we enjoy first class services and amenities such as the public works, fire services, police services, parks and aquatic facility, the public library, and the school system. We are fortunate to be situated close to the City of Chicago and O’Hare Airport and to also be able to enjoy the suburban lifestyle that we have become accustomed to. We are committed to maintaining and improving all aspects of the Village. Collectively, we bring the knowledge, experience, passion, work-ethic, and integrity needed to represent the best interests of all of Lincolnwood’s residents.

We humbly ask that you give us the opportunity to represent you and all of Lincolnwood because we are ALL In For Lincolnwood.

Jesal Patel, Candidate for Mayor
Jesal Patel has lived in Lincolnwood since he was just 4 years old. He resides at the same address today as when he moved here nearly 40 years ago. Jesal attended the district 74 schools and grew up working as a caddy at the Bryn Mawr country club.
Jean Ikezoe-Halevi, Candidate for Trustee
Trustee Jean Ikezoe-Halevi has live in Lincolnwood for 30 years. She was elected in 2017 after serving as a commissioner on the Zoning Board of Appeals since 2013. Prior to that, she was on Lincolnwood’s Human Relations Commission for 16 years, where she served multiple terms as chair, vice-chair and secretary.
Grace Diaz Herrera, Candidate for Trustee

Grace Diaz Herrera, a proud resident of Lincolnwood, moved here with her family in the mid-1970’s. After losing her father at an early age, Grace, her mother and younger brothers were immediately embraced and comforted by Lincolnwood’s wonderful community. Those moments have been significant in shaping their lives and Grace’s love of and gratitude to our Lincolnwood community.

Mohammed Saleem, Candidate for Trustee

Mohammed Saleem has lived in Lincolnwood since 2014, but was always close to us, living in Peterson Park, right across Devon Ave. since 1995. Mohammed and his wife chose to move to Lincolnwood when it was time for their oldest to attend high school. They wanted a neighborhood for their family that was safe, diverse, and full of life. Mohammed’s youngest attended Lincolnwood District 74 and is now a freshman at Niles West High School.

Beryl Herman, Candidate for Clerk
Beryl Herman devoted 30 years to educating children from diverse backgrounds  in Lincolnwood. As coordinator of District 74’s ESL program and her work with the Molloy Center, she has motivated and welcomed more families in Lincolnwood than nearly any other resident of the village.

A helper by nature, Beryl has always brought our diverse community together. Doctor Marvin Garlich, longtime superintendent of District 74, called Beryl the “ethnic conscience of District 74”.

Now is the time for Lincolnwood to grow and shine. We have worked hard through the last recession and leading up to where we stand today. We were able to maintain service levels without raising taxes despite huge reductions in revenue. The Alliance-led government secured the largest development in the history of the village in the Carrington. We paved the way for District 1860 to be underway with concept plans that Trustee Patel developed together with a team and which were then Board endorsed.
